Ireland – Scanning electron microscopes – Supply, Installation and Integration of an Oxford Instruments UNITY BEX Detector for a Tescan Tiger MIRA3 FEG-SEM

This voluntary ex-ante transparency (VEAT) notice serves to confirm that Trinity College Dublin intends to award a contract to Oxford Instruments GmbH, Borsigstrasse 15a 65205 Wiesbaden, GERMANY for the supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of an Oxford Instruments UNITY BEX detector system as an upgrade to the existing Tescan Tiger MIRA3 FEG-SEM currently operating within the iCRAG Labs, Centre for Microscopy and Analysis (CMA), Trinity College Dublin, Dublin 2, Ireland. This upgrade introduces a unified detector head providing combined Backscattered Electron (BSE) and X-ray (EDS) detection and must interface seamlessly with the existing Tescan Tiger MIRA3 FEG-SEM and therefore constitutes a specialised technical enhancement of the current research instrument.
