Dublin City Council is seeking to carry out a detailed ground investigation contract for the planning, design and construction of the Point Bridge and Tom Clarke Bridge Widening Project across the River Liffey. The proposed structure will be directly adjacent to the existing Tom Clarke bridge. The investigation works will involve Geobore S drilling, rock coring, slit trenching, concrete coring (at one the existing pier foundations), groundwater monitoring (piezometer installation), window sampling, grab sediment sampling (at river bottom), associated temporary traffic management, in situ testing, laboratory testing, production of a Factual Report, a Ground Investigation Report, a Contamination Assessment Report, a Waste Classification Assessment and an Assessment of the river bottom sediment samples for potential offshore marine disposal. The Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the investigation works. Please note that this project is subject to funding.
