Ireland – Construction work for buildings relating to railway transport – 9230 Broadmeadow Way Greenway Causeway Works

The proposed Greenway, approximately 6km in length, will connect Malahide Demesne with Newbridge Demesne in Donabate. It will follow a combination of existing paths, roads, and new infrastructure, creating a continuous route for pedestrians and cyclists. This package focuses on a 2km section of the overall scheme. It extends from Bissett’s Strand in Malahide, crosses the Broadmeadow Estuary via Irish Rail’s weir maintenance track/causeway, and continues onto agricultural land in Kilcrea, Donabate. The route runs parallel to the Dublin–Belfast railway line and the Malahide Viaduct. A new footbridge immediately west of the viaduct was largely completed in 2024, with additional works to be completed under this contract.
