Atlantic Technological University (ATU) seeks submissions for the fit-out of Building 1 at Drumnahoagh to accommodate Metal Fabrication and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration apprenticeship students. The works comprise the fit out of an existing shell and core building to provide: • Workshops • Stores • Offices • Classrooms • Canteen and Kitchen • Classrooms • Toilets and welfare facilities • Meeting rooms • Mezzanine level stairs • Circulation/ Stairs/ Lifts • Plantrooms/ Risers/ Switch Rooms/ IT and COMMS rooms • External stores, compounds and containers • Service and delivery yards • Carparking/ Cycle Storage • Ancillary site work • Provision for future expansions/phases/ Extensions This educational building is located within an industrial site environment with other businesses having ongoing operations/activities that take place adjacent to building 1 site, with singular access to the overall industrial site. Once works are completed, the building will host activities including education, training, study, examinations, conferring of awards, business and special events etc. These activities will be supported by facilities services including catering, cleaning, repair, maintenance, goods deliveries and waste removal etc. It is essential that all the operations of the client body are operational following handover and completion of the works, and other business users on the industrial site are protected during any construction activities.
