Description

Dublin City Council gives notice to invoke Article 32.2(b) (ii) for a derogation from public procurement whereby the works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator as competition is absent for technical reasons. Dublin City Council / Dublin Fire Brigade intends to award a contract to Emergency One Group Ltd for the provision of services for the inspection, maintenance, certification and repair of Aerial Firefighting Appliances. The maximum value of this contract is €900,000. The contract duration will be 4 years. To ensure that Dublin Fire Brigade complies with its obligations regarding the inspection, maintenance, certification and repair of Aerial Firefighting Appliances, we must submit our aerial appliances for testing every 6 months. Each ladder must be certified under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment (LOLER) Regulations 1998. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 2007 we must ensure that all Aerial Ladders are safe for our staff to use. Emergency One Group Ltd is the sole service partner authorised by Magirus GMBH, holding a signed service contract for Maintaining, Servicing and Conducting Training on all their product range in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
