Ireland – Energy and related services – Greenlink Blackstart Services 2026

EirGrid intends to enter into an agreement with Greenlink Interconnector (“Greenlink”) for the provision of Black Start services. This agreement aims to enhance system resilience and ensure rapid restoration capabilities in the event of a major outage. It is structured to address the technical requirements and operational needs specific to Black Start scenarios. This agreement is for 3 years from 23 February 2026 - 23 February 2029 with an option to extend for 2 additional years (5 years in total) value is €680K per year - €3,400,000 total over the potential 5 years
