Ireland – Haematological consumables – Reagents, Consumables, Maintenance and Associated Services for the two (2) IH-500 BioRad Blood Transfusion Analysers at St Vincent's University Hospital (SVUH)

The Blood Bank and Haematology at St Vincent's University Hospital (SVUH) possesses two (2) IH-500 BioRad Blood Transfusion Analysers with an expected remaining lifespan of minimum 4 years or until their decommissioning and disposal. SVUH requires reagents, consumables, customer support and comprehensive maintenance for this period. To the best of our knowledge, the two existing analysers require consumables and comprehensive servicing by the original provider, Fannin Ltd for technical compatibility and continuity reasons. A Voluntary Ex-Ante Publication (VEAT) Notice will be published in OJEU, outlining SVUH’s intention to the market i.e. award a contract without prior call for competition as per Article 32.2.b.ii competition is absent for technical reasons (Procedure between the National and EU Thresholds). SVUH will not execute a contract with the identified provider for a minimum of thirty-five (35) days from the date of publication of the above-mentioned Notice.
