HSE Procurement intends to purchase a dual platform testing for Glucose & Ketone Equipment and Associated Consumable Nationally. The clinical requirement for this equipment is for a dual platform. The combined meter is capable of measuring both glucose and ketone levels to enable rapid and accurate assessment of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and other metabolic disorders. This is particularly important in emergency, critical care, and paediatric settings, where rapid assessment is crucial. Monitoring both glucose and ketones on one device minimises errors due to using separate meters.
