Refurbishment and Repair of Ennis Courthouse Windows. Ennis Courthouse is a protected structure [RPS Nr. 731]. The windows date back to c1850 when the building was built. Windows are sliding sashes, that is, sashes counterbalanced by hidden weights, so they slide easily in the frames. Works to repair the historic fabric of the window assemblies, shutters and associated historic joinery to make them operational. Replacement of existing Upvc windows with new aluminium window units, and associated making good. Replacement of existing rooflight with new aluminium rooflight, and associated making good. Phased completion of the works within an operational courthouse facility to accommodate continued, uninterrupted operation of the court services throughout the contract. Including working out of hours as necessary to selected areas where required. Employment of suitability qualified window joinery conservation specialists to ensure historic materiality of the completed works.
